What is voice therapy?
At the Voice and Swallowing Center of Puerto Rico (Centro de Voz y Tragado de Puerto Rico), we are committed to providing modern, efficient, and patient-centered care. For this reason, we offer voice therapy as a personalized and fundamental treatment for vocal health.
In this video, we explain what voice therapy is: a specialized and personalized treatment for individuals who suffer from problems such as persistent hoarseness, weak voice, vocal fatigue, or even partial loss of voice. Through these sessions, patients are taught to produce a healthy voice, reducing strain and damage to the vocal cords. In addition to being a treatment, therapy serves to prevent injuries, which is crucial for people who use their voice as their main work tool. It is emphasized that each case is distinct, which is why techniques are adapted to each person’s condition and lifestyle. If changes in the voice are noticed, the first step is to request a preventive evaluation.
Integrating voice therapy and a personalized approach into our processes allows us to stay at the forefront of modern medicine and continue to offer accessible and high-quality care.
